Dan Peterson, Field Engineer, for this joint venture chose Stay-Form for the bulkheads (approximately 90,000 SQ. FT.) because it was faster and less expensive than alternative methods of building bulkheads in the six feet thick heavy mat slabs (120,000 cubic yards of concrete is required for this tank). Upturned (inverted) and conventional keyways had waterstop located in the middle of the keyway.
